Do you want to buy new R-410A or sell recovered R-410A? We do both. Get a quote.
What is R-410A?
R-410A is a refrigerant commonly used in air conditioning applications and it is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC). It has become popular as hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) gases, like R-22, are being phased out of production and importation due to their environmental impact.
HFCs are the third generation of fluorine-based gases and are shown to have no ozone depleting potential (ODP) and a medium to high global warming potential (GWP). Therefore, they are a friendlier alternative to their predecessors.
However, the U.S. may soon begin phasing out HFCs, including R-410A, in accordance with the Montreal Protocol. The protocol is a multilateral environmental treaty designed to impede climate change. In November 2015, the 197 Parties to the Montreal Protocol agreed to begin working on an amendment to reduce the global production and consumption of HFCs. This work is expected to be completed sometime in 2016.
Do You Want to Sell Your Recovered R-410A Refrigerant?
R-410A is in demand and will continue to be in demand during and following an HFC phasedown. Therefore, HVACR professionals can sell R410A that has been recovered from residential and commercial equipment. EPA-certified refrigerant reclaimers, like DPC, buy the gas, reclaim it, and sell it back to the marketplace. Using advanced technology and assets, DPC methodically removes impurities to return or “reclaim” the gas to the purity standards required of new refrigerants (ARI-700).
As R-410A becomes scarcer, its value will increase. The cost-per-pound will rise for recovered refrigerant, as well as new refrigerant. What is yours worth? Request a quote.
When you sell recovered gas to DPC, you will receive a payment based on the volume and purity of your recovered material. You will also receive EPA documentation to prove the refrigerant was properly handled. Remember, knowingly releasing R-410A and similar gases into the atmosphere is illegal. Safely recovering refrigerants is responsible and EPA-compliant behavior.
Not unlike other popular refrigerants, the cost of R-410A refrigerant fluctuates based on market conditions. DPC offers competitive pricing, volume discounts, and free shipping.
