Rapid Recovery, the nation’s leading refrigerant recovery company, is excited to announce their new location in the San Antonio, Texas area. Blake Marken, Business Development Leader of the new San Antonio location, will be servicing local customers with Rapid Recovery’s full suite of refrigerant services – Rapid Exchange, jobsite recovery, and refrigerant delivery.

Rapid Recovery, the service division of A-Gas, converted this San Antonio location from a Diversified Pure Chem (DPC) hub to a full service Rapid Recovery location after the recent acquisition of DPC by A-Gas. This change brings an improved cylinder exchange service to current DPC customers as well as high speed, EPA compliant, jobsite recovery and local refrigerant delivery.

Founded in 2002, Rapid Recovery has revolutionized the outsourcing of refrigerant recovery in the U.S. “Our goal is to provide our customers with Total Solutions® for all of their refrigerant needs. Offering our new Rapid Exchange service is another opportunity to provide contractors with superior service that saves them time and makes their projects more efficient.” said Adam Dykstra, CEO. “Our locations provide us with a distinct advantage, which is a quality local presence that provides great partnerships with local contractors.” This Texas opening marks another strategic extension of Rapid Recovery’s nationwide service platform.

“As the significant cost of performing recoveries with expensive, yet inadequate, off-the-shelf recovery equipment are realized, Rapid Recovery is in prime position to fill this need. Contractors are realizing that sourcing the refrigerant recovery process to an expert can add profitability to their jobs, free up important technician time and meet all of their EPA documentation needs as well,” said Dykstra.

Rapid Recovery’s San Antonio operation is operated by Blake Marken. The San Antonio office and warehouse are in an ideally positioned location to provide fast, reliable refrigerant recovery service to the entire San Antonio area. “I’m looking forward to continuing to service current DPC customers while also providing them with the fastest and most efficient refrigerant recovery service available. My team’s ability to save our customers time and money while providing EPA compliance and a competitive new refrigerant supply will strengthen our customers’ position with their customer base,” said Blake Marken.

Bowling Green, OH- December 15, 2017– A-Gas, the world’s largest refrigerant recovery and reclamation company, is continuing to invest in technologies that play a vital role in the transition away from HFC refrigerants as outlined in the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol. This amendment has been globally ratified and it is anticipated that US Officials will ratify in the near future.

The Kigali amendment is the most recent addendum to the Montreal Protocol, originally adopted by 187 countries in 1987. The Montreal Protocol is a global agreement to reduce the production and use of Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) found to destroy the stratospheric ozone layer.  This new amendment focuses on the reduction and phasedown of HFC’s (hydrofluorocarbons) to mitigate global warming.

A-Gas US CEO Monte Roach commented “A-Gas has invested heavily in the future of the refrigerant industry by acquiring some strategic technologies to assist with the phasedown of ODS and global warming gases. The acquisition of the Rapid Recovery network in 2016, and our latest acquisition of Diversified PureChem expanded our Total Solutions offering to the market. We now have 5 fractional distillation towers across the US and our separation capabilities for mixed or cross contaminated refrigerants are the best in the nation. As reclamation becomes the standard for these gases A-Gas will be leading the charge and assisting customers with any regulatory changes or updates.”

A-Gas has been instrumental in assisting with the implementation of the Montreal Protocol and has foresight into future regulations with its Global reach. “One benefit of being a global organization is the ability to have long range phasedown plans that have been proven to work in other regions. Several of our locations around the world are in countries where the phasedown schedules are ahead of the United States giving us the knowledge to be able to help our customers early in the game. We truly are the only organization that has a complete refrigerant lifecycle solution backed by global technologies and deep industry knowledge.”

BOWLING GREEN, OH, September 11, 2017 – A-Gas has acquired Diversified Pure Chem (DPC) Llc. headquartered in Rhome, Texas. DPC is an industry leading reclaimer and supplier of refrigerant gases. They have a national reach operating out of 13 refrigerant collection and distribution hubs and their 40,000 sqft. separation and blending facility in Texas. DPC offers a full line of refrigerants including the leading technologies in HCFC and HFC replacements.

As the USA refrigerant market faces future regulations of environmentally sensitive gases including the continued phase down of R22, this alliance brings together A-Gas existing Total Solutions® offerings with the established recovery, reclamation, manufacturing and sales expertise of DPC.

Monte Roach, President/CEO of A-Gas Americas commented “DPC brings us best-in-class separation and blending capabilities along with a complementary go-to-market approach and customer access. DPC brings a highly-experienced staff of 45 people that expand our industry knowledge and services. Our combined customers across the country will experience a significantly increased Total Solutions approach to their supply and reclamation needs. With the acquisition of Rapid Recovery in 2016 and the addition of DPC, A-Gas will become a clear leader in refrigerant recovery, reclaim and separation in the US. This is one more important step in creating an organization that delivers global expertise on a local scale.”

The acquisition marks the fifth in the US and the eighth worldwide since 2012 for A-Gas Group International, the UK-based parent company. It is also the first acquisition by A-Gas since KKR, a leading global investment firm, invested in the company in August 2017, in partnership with Group management, with the aim to further accelerate the growth of A-Gas.

The business will be integrated into A-Gas over the next several months. During that time, Bruce Ernst, VP Business Development will serve as Acting VP/GM of DPC.
